Just caught wind of this deal: Antonie Walker, James Posey, and Jason Williams to the Heat. And all Miami gave up as Eddie Jones? They made off like thieves! I'm not sure how the team will mesh together seeing that Walk is a bit of a hog and likes chucking up 3's but in terms of talent, that's an awesome trade.
James Posey should be good, bringing his defensive ability. But its a really weird combination that the Heat will have. They could have too many people that want the ball and I'm not sure if 'Toine will be happy being the third cog in the wheel.

Heat are going to own, i hope they tear it up
I'm awaiting a good explanation from anyone about why the Heat signed Antoine Walker, and in particular why they signed him to a ridiculous 6 year 53 mil deal.
Posey is an underrated player who's better than Eddie Jones, and I can see J-Will doing well in Miami because he's actually a pretty good PG on offense and because Shaq may be able to keep him in line (esp. on D), if he's able to stop launching 3s at bad times; but Antoine Walker... Udonis Haslem is a far better player for their system than Walker will be, yet Walker gets double the deal. Does that mean that he'll start?
If they had just gotten Posey & J-Will for Eddie Jones, I would acclaim this as being a very good deal, but taking on Walker and his shitty contract as well... makes me a little skeptical about the trade. And I really don't see how Walker can play SF - some people are arguing for that, and he may be able to do that on offense sometimes, but he's way too slow to be playing on the perimeter, especially on D.
i think miami are gonna start with James Posey as he can defend the perimeter, and go with Walker off the bench. Although, Walker would be a pretty expensive bench player!
He'd be the sparkplug off the bench, but I just think Walker is too good to be not starting. The Heat needed another guy that could score besides Shaq and D-Wade, since the offense broke down in the playoffs when D-Wade got injured.

Shaq and Walker are going to clash because he has a rediculous shot selection. I give Walker until week 3 before Kazaam has a Kobe Bryant flash back.
