* Is it just me or is it really cold these days? In the mornings I've usually got my suit on and an overcoat. A lot of people seem to wearing scarfs, trenchcoats, extra layers of clothes....or maybe its just colder out west?

* Been listening to a lot of Kanye West produced stuff lately. I was reading a couple of reviews of Common's album - Be, and just talking to people generally, and this seems to be the notion that there's too much Kanye in the marketplace. Is this a good or bad thing? Depends if you like Kanye or not.

I must say that I really like Common (Sense) new album. The radio friendly song "Go" with John Mayer is continously in my heavy rotation, and "The Corner" with its mad drum beat just sounds off the hook from the first time I heard it playing on Bosco's laptop. And that song "They Say" with John Legend is also killer. Common's got a lot soul/rnb beats in the background to this album and I really dig his sound. He doesn't rap about the typical gangster/hoes/bling bling life style and is known more as conscious rapper talking about everyday stuff.

* Meltdown: What's happening with the Suns? They've comeback after being down 3 games. It's too late. The Spurs will finish them off. Side note: How mad was Amare's block on Tim Duncan's throwdown late in the game? Missing in action: Shawn Marion. Dude ain't scoring at all - too much Bruce Bowen?

It's gonna be the Spurs and the Heat.

apparently it was the warmest May EVER! i'm just thinking wtf? are our bodies just unable to cope with cold now? are we getting old?

I remember back in the fucking day at Tech, cunts would wear king gee short man. And i'd be wearing microfibre pants and shirt, other wise known as the thinnest material next to lingerie!! how'd we do it man?

Yeah Kanye is reaching saturation point, kinda like pharell, they're good, but too much of them is like eating too much. The shit feels like its coming outa ur ass.

nah i wasn't feeling that microfibre material back then, especially the XXL sizes you used to wear!

btw Scott, wat's happening with your blog these days? you haven't updated it in ages - I'm sick of those dog photos

Suns, didnt melt, they just got a taste of the best team in the world. They got SPURRED. Spurs can play any kind of way. Uptempo, outscore the other team style, and slow it down, grind it out style, and everthing in between. I'm sick of all the spurs hating and the lack of respect and love show the my boys. I will laugh last when they take home the Larry O'Brien trophy for the 3rd time in 6 years.

Tim, who is hating on the Spurs, exactly? I've read very few writers who have shown the Spurs a lack of respect, e.g. all three ESPN pundits on espn.com tipped the Spurs to win this series. Actually, I can't recall any pundit dissing them at all, and most of the predictions I've read have tipped the Spurs to go the whole way, acknowledged Duncan to be one of the best ever to have played etc.

Just because people got a lot of love for the Suns, doesn't mean that they don't have love & respect for the Spurs. That us-against-everyone-else attitude is probably more suited for a Pistons supporter, don't you think?

Ho, head-to-head matchups this series is largely Marion-v-Duncan at both ends, although Bowen spends a fair bit of time marking him too (but more time marking Nash/JJ). Marion is a good player, but you would have to take Duncan on that one. And keep in mind that Marion gets a lot of his points in the flow of the offense and on O-boards/hustle plays (fast breaks etc), so if he doesn't get those, he's in a bit of a funk - he's not so good at creating his own shot or shooting on the move, IMHO (so if Bowen is marking him on the perimeter, that's a bad matchup for him.)

Scott - I'm sure the news were legit when they say it was the warmest May ever, but I have to say from a personal perspective, over the past week or two, it's been friggin-A freezing. And haha props for microfiber pants/shirts! Definitely have to second Ho and acknowledge that you were famous for your XL microfiber shit.

Yeah, I'm experimenting with some soul beats, i'm trying to make a slow soul beat and then speed it up and and putting more instruments on top of that... We'll see how it goes

hahaha Yeah gotta represent for that microfibre. but dayum i wouldn't be caught dead in the shit now.

yeah got a new blog, there's a link on my old page. Follow the cookie crumbs yo.

SUNS-SPURS: first of all with all due respect to the Spurs, I hate the way they play...so methodical, and deliberate. Props to them for being consistent winners though.
In my view I love watching the Suns play, hardly any set plays, they just play off instinct. Marion is getting locked down by Bowen, who is the seediest looking NBA player today. He could easily pass off as a Mexican bum. Ginobili blows my fucking mind, has a guy EVER looked as unco as him yet been so effective and whose name is NOT terry tam?????

The ppl hating on the spurs are guys like Chuck and Ed, but mainly Chuck, who says he has no respect for Tim Duncan. I have so much passion for the Spurs but not enough ppl to share it with cos noone else loves the spurs (except for Nate), so I have to show my passion by hating the haters.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA! 'when i was a spurs, i had a lot to learns' hahahahahaha (sing it to the 'when i was a sperm' tune).

Ahhhh Tim, maybe another reason I don't like the Spurs was cuz they fuckn CHOKED against those Dynasty Lakers all them years. For 3 straight years it'd come down to the Spurs Vs Lakers, and I'd be rooting for Timmy, but alas the mafuckas choked, creating the most undeserving 3peat in the history of sports. BUT as I said before, they win cuz they just play really well together, on offense AND defense. Can't fault that, doesn't mean I have to like it though.
